Daniele Giorgi

DIREZIONE

Daniele Giorgi has always been dedicated to music from multiple perspectives.
At a very young age he studies harmony and counterpoint, and the need to compose music that has accompanied him since then matures. After completing his violin training, he devoted himself to teaching Chamber Music in the conservatory for three years and then became a Violin of the ORT - Orchestra of Tuscany at the age of twenty-eight, combining solo experiences with an important chamber music activity.
Along this path he matured his personal vision on the role of the leader in today's musical contexts and began to devote himself to conducting under the guidance of Piero Bellugi and Isaac Karabtchevsky, mainly interested in the symphonic repertoire and obtaining immediate feedback. Awarded at the International Competition for Conductors "Antonio Pedrotti" of Trento (where in addition to the second absolute prize he also won the special audience prize and the prize for the best performance of the contemporary music piece), he became preparer of the Symphonica d'Italia for the concerts conducted by Lorin Maazel and was invited on the podium of numerous orchestras including the Haydn Orchester of Trento and Bolzano, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, the 'Orchestra of Rome and Lazio, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Turin, the ORT - Orchestra of Tuscany, establishing prolonged collaborative relationships with some of them.
In 2014, his ideas and experiences converge in the birth of the Leonore Orchestra, of which he is the founder and Music Director. At the helm of this ensemble he is invited to several important Italian concert seasons.
Daniele Giorgi is also responsible for the artistic programming of the Promusica Symphonic Season as well as the creator and Artistic Director of Floema, a project for a musical ecosystem focused on the development of an innovative and sustainable model of interaction between musical institution and territory.
