Samuel Baldi trained through numerous seminars held by eminent percussionists and timpanists, including Claudio Romano, Christian Hamouy, Andrea Santarsiere, Fausto Bombardieri, and others.

He has collaborated with both Italian and international orchestras, such as the ORT (Orchestra della Toscana), the Petruzzelli Theatre Orchestra in Bari, the Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI), the J. Futura Symphony Orchestra, and the European Orchestra of Young Musicians. He has performed under conductors such as Daniele Rustioni, Jeffrey Tate, John Axelrod, Paolo Olmi, Wayne Marshall, Ville Matvejeff, Kalle Kuusava, Yordan Kamdzhalov, Leonid Grin, James Meena, Tae Jung Lee, Pavel Zajc, Alberto Veronesi, Zoran Juranić, Lorenzo Sbaffi, Valentin Egel, and others.

As a soloist, orchestral musician, he has taken part in national and international festivals including the Spoleto Festival – Festival dei Due Mondi, Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture, Festival delle Nazioni in Città di Castello, Bologna Festival, Effetto Serre, Diffrazioni Festival, Firenze Suona Contemporanea, Suoni Inauditi, Livorno Music Festival, and Summer Classics at the Arena of Pula.

He collaborates with American composer Stephen Dembsky and has worked with Norwegian percussionist and composer Daniel Berg, whose piece Kinkaku-Ji he premiered. He has also collaborated with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Christopher Austin, and Stefano Gervasoni.
He performs in duo with flutist Désirée Del Santo, with whom he has premiered several new works. He also participated in the humanitarian project “LiricoStruiamo” together with M° Lorenzo Sbaffi.

He has recorded for SONY, Atopos, and Giunti.

He collaborates with the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka, where in the 2020/2021 season he co-founded a percussion trio with his section colleagues, receiving unanimous acclaim from critics. In the same season, he performed as timpanist at the Summer Classics festival at the Arena of Pula, under the baton of M° Valentin Egel.

He is currently principal percussionist of the HNK Orchestra in Osijek (Croatia).
