Juan de Dios Ruiz Racero

VIOLIN

Juan de Dios was born in La Luisiana (Sevilla) in 2002. He began his violin studies with José Enrique Ruiz Conde in the Elementary Music conservatory “Fray Juan Bermudo” in Écija and finished his profesional studies with Carlos Ruiz Moral in the Profesional Music Conservatory “Músico Ziryab” of Córdoba.

Juan had recently won the third prize in the prestigious Marine Iashvili Violin Competition in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is also a winner of the Lorenzo Palomo Chamber Music Competition. 

Juan is currently enrolled in the bachelor program in the superior music conservatory “Musikene” (San Sebastián) in the class of professor Liana Gourdjia. He had also successfully entered the composition program at Musikene in the class of Ramon Lazkano and Gabriel Erkoreka. His compositions had already been performed and recorded by students and professional musicians.

Juan is a regular member of the “Barenboim-Said” academy, where he had been a concertmaster in the orchestral program.

Juan is also a member of the OJA (Youth Andalusian Orchestra), where he performed as concertmaster and where he received collective classes with Paçalin Pavaci, James Dahlgren, Isabel Jiménez y Giulia Brinckmeiner.

His extensive orchestral and ensemble experience had lead him to work under the direction of Pedro Hafter, Pablo Heras Casado, Alejando Muñoz, Manuel Busto, Juanjo Mena, Unai Urrecho, Erik Nielsen, Laurent Gignoux, Roberto Baltar, Lucía Marín, Arturo Tamayo, Nuno Coelho, Manuel Hernández-Silva, José de Eusebio, Víctor Pablo Pérez y Michael Thomas, Iker Sánchez, Juan Pablo Valencia, Álvaro Albiach, Adrian Leaper and Robert Treviño.

He has received violin courses and masterclases of Miriam Sadum, Antonio Fernández Moreno, José María Fernández, Fred Tayer, Marina Keselman, Luis Miguel Díaz Gutiérrez, Yun-Peng Zhao, Cecilia Berkovich, Jeanne-Marie Couturier and Sophie Schafleitner.
