Valerio Vicari

CONDUCTOR

Valerio Vicari has been Artistic Director of the Roma Tre Orchestra Association since its foundation in January 2005, and is one of its founding members.

Today, the Roma Tre Orchestra is an organisation that produces over 100 events per year across Italy and is recognised within the FNSV of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Single Fund for Performing Arts of the Lazio Region, as well as having won numerous grants from Roma Capitale.

Since 1 January 2026, he has been Artistic Director of the Teatro Verdi di Trieste Lyrical-Symphonic Foundation.

An author and essayist, in July 2024 he published Richard Wagner, il cane e il pappagallo. Una biografia emotiva with ETS Edizioni, and in September 2025 the theatrical work Stupor Mundi, dramma televisivo in atto unico, also with ETS Edizioni.

Artistic Director of the Festival Musica Sacra Regione Lazio 2025, he was also a member, for the 2023 and 2024 terms, of the Festival, Choirs and Bands Commission of the Italian Ministry of Culture, and served as President of the Music Commission of the INPS PSMSAD fund from December 2022 to October 2025.

He has lectured within the Master in Live Performing Arts Management promoted by Treccani and the Master in Music Management, Marketing and Media at Roma Tre University.
