Jaha Lee

VIOLIN

Born to Korean parents and raised in France, Jaha began playing the violin at the age of 6 with Alexandre Brussilovsky as her teacher. She then studied with Boris Garlitsky at Conservatoire National Superieur de Music et de Danse de Paris where she obtained her artist diploma in 2014. During this time Jaha studied with Boris Kushnir for one year at the Arts University of Graz, Austria. She has also developed her musical personality through masterclasses with Pinchas Zukerman, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Igor Ozim.
Jaha is Laureate of the following prestigious international competitions: Islam Petrela, Ginette Neveu, Rodolfo Lipizer, and Yuri Yankelevitch. Her piano trio won first prize in the Martha Debelli foundation in Austria in 2011.
Jaha is a passionate chamber and orchestra musician. She has cultivated her symphonic repertoire at the Academy of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam and as co-leader of Orchestre National de Lyon. She is regularly invited to lead as a Concertmaster ensembles such as Orchestre d’Auvergne, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Opéra de Saint-Etienne and Orchestre de la Monnaie, Bruxelles.
