Double bassist Iurii Gavryliuk began his musical studies in Ukraine at the age of fourteen. In 2011, he was awarded a full scholarship to continue his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he worked with renowned double bassist Rinat Ibragimov.
Since 2015, he has been a member of the Grammy Award-winning chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica, with which he has performed in more than 50 countries and spent several months each year on tour. He has also collaborated with leading ensembles and orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and O/Modernt, working across a broad range of repertoire and performance practices.
