You can go to the late-afternoon concerts in Portoferraio, at the Centro Culturale De Laugier (27, 28, 31 August – 3, 8 September) or at the Chiesa del Santissimo Sacramento (4, 5, 7 September), thanks to the ferry connection Piombino-Portoferraio, leaving the car comfortably in Piombino and obtaining a reduction on ferry tickets.
