Camerata Fontainebleau

The Camerata Fontainebleau is a collective group of musicians from Europe and beyond who come together to study, to teach, to present chamber music and to form a chamber orchestra at the Domaine La Loingtaine which is situated in the beautiful bucolic surroundings of the Forest of Fontainbleau. La Loingtaine is an 18th century farmhouse located in the village of Montigny-sur-Loing. Throughout the year it offers concerts, organizes master classes and provides music academies for aspiring young artists and this year, 2015, La Loingtaine is celebrating its 10th Anniversary. The Camerata Fontainebleau was created during the Summer and Autumn Chamber Music Academies in order to enable young musicians to perform with their professors. Ever since 2013 the Camerata has given a series of concerts at the Chapelle de la Trinité in the Château de Fontainebleau and this year it received the distinction of being honoured as an official partner of the Château de Fontainebleau. The ensemble La Bande de la Loingtaine represents the core group of professional musicians who form the Camerata and they have performed in France, Japan, Singapore and the USA and offer, each Spring, a training residency in Kyoto.
